Trade relations between Egypt and Morocco have stopped. Egypt is afraid.

Trade relations between Egypt and Morocco have been witnessing significant tension recently, as media reports indicated that Morocco has imposed restrictions on the entry of Egyptian goods into its markets, despite the lack of an official decision in this regard. This tension is attributed to Egypt's failure to fully adhere to the Agadir Agreement, especially with regard to the import of cars manufactured in Morocco. In contrast, Cairo justifies its position on the priorities of foreign exchange and the protection of local industry. It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounts to about $1.3 billion annually, with Moroccan investments in Egypt estimated at $230 million. The relevant authorities in both countries are seeking to resolve these differences through diplomatic and commercial channels to avoid escalating the crisis.
